Huila is one of the departments of Colombia. It is located in the southwest of the country, and its capital is Neiva

Neiva is the Capital of the Department of Huila. It is located in the valley of the Magdalena River in south central Colombia with a population of about 378,857 inhabitants. It is one of the most important cities in Southern Colombia.

Wrestling in Huila

In the capitol of the Province Huila, Neiva  are three wrestling clubs: Inem, Santa Librada and Ultrahuilca. Wrestling in Neiva is managed by the Ipuz family.

The Colegio Imen is a scool where they offer wrestling as a sport. Only youngsters are practicing here.

The Colegio Santa Librada  is a scool in the „Villa del Rio“district where they offer wrestling as a sport. Only youngsters are practicing here.

The best wrestler in the Province Huila is Hernan Guzman Ipuz at the moment.  In 2012 and 2013 -he was Pan American Champion (Juniors) at 66 Kg and south american Champ (Seniors) in Freestyle.
He is one of the most talentet wrestler of Colombia, at the nacional games he became second behind Alonso Hurtado.
Andrea Olaya is the most talentet female Freestyle Wrestler of Huila.  In Santiago/Chile she won two Gold medals  Panamerican Juniors and Southamerican Seniors.
